Our story
BrightNest Medical was founded in 2026 after seeing how difficult it was for people to get timely, affordable, high-quality medical care for their children, including standard blood tests. Long travel times, limited clinic hours and stressful waiting rooms were making essential healthcare a burden.
Our mission is to change that by making these services readily accessible, convenient and efficient for everyone in the area.
Clinical leadership
BrightNest operates under the medical direction of Dr Ike Okafor, a Consultant in Paediatric Emergency Medicine with over 20 years of experience at one of Ireland's leading paediatric hospitals.

While Dr Okafor primarily works behind the scenes, overseeing our strict clinical protocols and staff training, his extensive hospital background directly shapes how BrightNest cares for your child. Having spent two decades treating children in high-pressure emergency settings, he has designed our operational standards to ensure maximum safety, accuracy and efficiency.

Under Dr Okafor's expert guidance, our frontline team consists of independent, qualified consultants, GPs, nurses and therapists, uniquely trained to turn what is often a scary experience for children and families into a calm, gentle and stress-free process.
